SUMMARY
Learn and practice some basic hand stitches that you can use to stitch fabric together, mend, or even embellish and embroider.

Learn and practice some basic hand stitches that you can use to stitch fabric together, mend, or even embellish and embroider.This class has a minimum of 3 students. If the class has not reached that number a week prior to the class date, all students will be offered a refund or to transfer the value of their ticket.
Class Description
Learn and practice some basic hand stitches that you can use to stitch fabric together, mend or even embellish and embroider. We will work on a small project using the stitches you learn. The pace of the class will depend on the experience level/ interest of the people attending. This class is intended to teach functional stitched but we may expand into some decorative stitches as time allows.
Fabric, needles and an assortment of threads will be available for class use but feel free to bring in any fabrics and/or threads that you want to try using.
Project Takeaway
Student will take home a set of needles, stitched samples, and a small project (if time allows).

Jessica Sadlier is a Technocopia member with extensive experience in sewing, both garment and craft, and fiber arts. She is a multi-disciplinary designer and maker with an extensive history of creative projects and pursuits who has worked in a variety of disciplines including architecture, design tech, marketing, prop design and costume design. Jessica loves to combine various media and techniques to create interesting projects ranging from functional decor to wearable tech. She relishes the challenges and thrills of learning new skills and enjoys sharing this experience with others through fun, accessible, and high quality creative educational experiences.
