Have fun in this hands-on exploration of the basics of stitched bookbinding.This class has a minimum of 3 students. If the class has not reached that number a week prior to the class date, all students will be offered a refund or to transfer the value of their ticket.
Have fun exploring the basics of bookbinding. Students will explore the various tools used in traditional bookbinding and learn several different stitches. We will stitch a variety of book structures with soft and hard covers. A variety of paper stock will allow for exploration of different effects in the finished products.
All materials and tools will be provided except for the fabric and no experience is necessary.
Students will take home books made in the class.

Jessica Sadlier is a Technocopia member with extensive experience in sewing, both garment and craft, and fiber arts. She is a multi-disciplinary designer and maker with an extensive history of creative projects and pursuits who has worked in a variety of disciplines including architecture, design tech, marketing, prop design and costume design. Jessica loves to combine various media and techniques to create interesting projects ranging from functional decor to wearable tech. She relishes the challenges and thrills of learning new skills and enjoys sharing this experience with others through fun, accessible, and high quality creative educational experiences.
